        I really wonder what the leather vertical hanger is doing there. It has no use or what so ever on a M36.
        It's only designed for the M33's.

          Looks like it was used to protect the uniform from rubbing perhaps ?, like a leather tab on a buckle ?,

            Bit of T-Cut and a stiff wire brush and that'll come up a treat. Just kidding. Looks a nice assembly. What's the maker's mark?

              These M36 Chained SS daggers aren't supposed to have a makermark on the blade.

                  I ran across one in this configuration here in Texas about 35 years ago but the owner wouldn't sell. It was close to mint so I'm sure this isn't the same rig.
