Posting this picture for SPQR. As far as identification, I would say this type knot has tentatively been identified as a possible SS variation, with an emphasis on possible. I don't know that this type of knot has been proven to be definitely SS, I believe there's no pics of period wear but it's thought to be possible based on the color scheme. I've seen several dealers sell these knots usually around $65 to $75. I'd be interested to know if it glows under black light, although I know this isn't itself dispositive. I've seen postwar knots not glow under a blacklight. Any other opinions?
