WW2 German Army Sword Scabbard?

What are your thoughts on this Sword Scabbard?
It came with a police sword and actually fit quite well.
I know the scabbard does not belong to the police sword.
I just trying to figure out what type of sword would go with this scabbard?
It has a few markings (B) & (12)?

The sword is a IIIrd R. polizei NCO sword while the scabbard looks like an Imperial IOD89 type IMO .... THey have nothing in common...
