Fencing saber A.WERTH

Here is fencing saber made by A.WERTH, looks like it had some kind of wire on the handle.
Wonder if someone has something similar to see what that handle used to look like.
Any idea when it was made? Is there books on this subject, with fencing masks, jackets and swords of TR?

It’s easy enough to twist some wire and restore the grip here’s one I did on an earlier sword

Is it a steel wire, silver wire? What gauge?

Sterling silver .4 mm I think
you can use brass wire
