It rates 6 on the McSarr rarity rating so not real common but not rare.

Hello, Is there a pinned thread that shows the SA Crossguard markings. This dagger has a crossguard marked with a "M" and even though I did find the FANCY and EXPENSIVE reference book
by Ralf Siegert, his book had no list of region or Gau markings on SA dagger Croosguards.
Does anyone know what a "M" on the crossguard stands for ??

In the 1934 - 35 years "Nm" - Nordmark and "Mi" - MItte and "Om" - Ostmark and "Wm" -Westmark would be the best use of the letter M ...A photo of the crossguard with that letter would help greatly. There might be a faint letter next to that M...Photo of the crossguard please.
