    Help with identification dagger (bajonet)

Hi, please I am serious. I found this dagger (bajonet) in the forest in Czech republic. I wrote to 3 auction houses and all told me that it is fake. I heard it from lots of people too. I never seen the similar dagger. I found it with lots of coins from 2WW and 2 guns. The dagger was finded by me. I need only information or find anybody who ever seen the similar dagger...
    Many thanks,
    Petr.
Please I am really serious, dont write me that it is fake.

Thank you. But I dont understand why anybody make this dagger a few year after 2WW. If the dagger is not from 2WW, it must be 5,10, 15 ... years after 2WW. The coins is from 2WW and the guns I think too.

So why the guns are completely rusted and the knife's blade is not?

Same question, the knife is a total fake, the Puma logo is wrongly etched, is not a digging find, no any rost spures, the inscription on blade is too wrong as not correct german, possible chinese fantasy.

Hi AndyB, as I wrote, founded in the forest. I found yesterday the same dagger on Poland Google, so minimum 2 pieces of this dagger exist. My is not fake as I wrote it was founded 14 days in the forest. I will contact czech institution for make the chemical analysics of the blade but I think it is zinc alloy.

You could made any expertise, firstly similar design is not german not of handle and even blade, as found in Poland, they are known for majority of fakes in middle and east Europe, someone could lost it in forest no problem, as the blade is not rusted. Other way the 2 similar emblems on a light metall cast has no reason, the designation of SS Division das Reich is there not, the "SS-Aufklärungs Abteilung 2 " should be there in period 1943-45, which is unreal for made on similar items, the etch is of very low quality, do You believe so one sh**t would be worried by SS soldiers???You should compare the real Puma stamp here in forum on KS98 bayonets or Puma fighting knifes.

Hi AndyB, yes I know everything what you write. The dagger was in leather case (very bad quality case) but as cannot understand why is not rusty. It must be from zinc alloy, I dont have any other explanation. Somebody could lost in the forest, but on the same place (1 meter square) were lots of coins and guns - all from 2WW. SS-Aufklärungs Abteilung 2 soldiers were mainly in Czech and Poland. I finded this information on Google.
The blade is from bajonet, the handle is maybe handmade using some soldiers maybe. As I wrote min. 2 this daggers exist - one have I, one was find in Poland.

I will send you more info in the future when I find more information.

                        Thank you, Petr.

Living in the Western part of the U.S. where gold and silver mining had taken place there are stories of "salting" a worthless hole in the ground with small quantities of the metals themselves to sell them to unsuspecting buyers who thought they were buying something of value. The knife here is a worthless fantasy/fake that does not have the age of the pistols, and a seller in Poland has been reported as selling this and some other different and comparable 6th Reich fantasy blades to whomever was willing to purchase them - presumably (and wrongly) believing they were from the 3rd Reich. If the knife was truly from the TR era it would be as rusty and corroded as the pistols - with the non-ferrous metal handle dissolving in a corresponding, but different manner. FP
