It's a Clemen & Jung fake with sparrow holding a swaz etch.

Etched blades that bear the Clemen & Jung maker mark are nearly always going to be 19)0's fakes.

Not period. The maker and the eagle are dead giveaways.

Most but not all by this maker are fake, there are originals.

The very second the swaz bleeds into the bottom border.........walk away. Plus there are 5-6 other red flags on this. Walk away.

Here is another etched Luft blade, supposedly by Clemen & Jung. This has been on and off of Eban for months now, thankfully people seem to be getting the idea that it's bad news.

While I agree with BobI that there is a possibility of a period Clemen & Jung dagger, I know that would be a scarce item and I don't think I've ever seen one.

A good rule of thumb is to avoid the large oval etched Clemen & Jung logo as it always appears to be problematic. Even on Navy daggers that some believe are period, that logo is usually a bad sign. The stamped C&J logos tend to be safer.

On the original dagger, you can also see the very poor pommel to grip fit as well as poor grip to ferrule fit. Not something you'd find on an extra cost item.

Well presented by Billy, the C&J's in this area are a minefield that few if any collectors have managed to safely cross to the other side. FP

General Staff with Pigeon Head eagle etch by C&J, is a old fake.

                            I also never seen a C&J original etch on a 2nd Luft.
