    Weyersburg Army Sword: opinions please.

    Hello again,

I went ahead and purchased the sword I asked about a few days ago and am very pleased with it. I was able to straighten, to a large extent, the bends in the scabbard, and the blade polished out fairly nice with semi-chrome. Please let me know what you think: your comments are always most welcome.

Nice sword...amazing what a little TLC can do soemtimes. The trick is knowing when to clean and when to leave a piece alone. Looks like you hit the mark on this one

                Thanks Skip,

I guess that 28 years of collecting and repairing Confederate swords taught me a little about where to stop: still, I sometimes mess up. This one needed very little work.
