Lion Head Arny Sword by Weyersburg

    Hello again,

Once again I have no photos, but the guy who sold me the ground Rohm SA by Eickhorn had an Army Officer's sword for sale. I can get it for $300, but don't know if that's a good price. The blade is marked by Paul Weyersburg and has only a couple of light surface rust spots that should clean to nearly mint. Almost 100% of the gilt is on the guard and reverse "P" guard. The Lion's head has the ruby eyes and the obverse langet has a spreadwing eagle and swaz. The black enamel grip and wire are perfect.

The scabbard has most of the original paint but has a series of curvy bends down its whole length. None of the bends are acute, and the sword goes in and out just fine, but it looks bad if you look long-ways down the scabbard from the top. I have no idea how much the scabbard bends hurt the value and I'm hoping you guys will give me your opinions. Thanks again,
    Harvey

For $300 you need to be on your way there to pick it up. Based on your description, that seems like a very fair price.

Thanks for the information. If he still has it I'll get it.
