unkown bayonet modification.Help needed

Hi,
Picked this up recently it's a standard K98 bayonet but with a modified scabard fitting was it a forign contract job or a wartime Gi convertion.

Hi Merdock,

Your bayonet is a German k98 bayonet converted by the Norwegians in 1957 to fit the Garand..... funny combination isn´t it?
