i hope someone can help, but i've heard of these very good reddick blades from the 70's, what's the best way to tell one? I thought that they never had billet clamp maks on the tang, but i have since ben informed that the early ones did?? Are they easy to tell apart from an original? were there any specific maker marks he used? It's such a minefield out there, i feel like i'm stepping onto a time bomb everytime i buy something,

The best way to find out is to know how the originals have to look. It all depents what kind of dagger you're looking for, but i prefer to use the TW books. And by posting pictures you will be helped forward. Lets see if someone knows more details about these blades, and if somebody will post pictures of them.
BTW, i collect swords and daggers, and have one fake out of 50-60 daggers, and i've got a full refund. I guess most of the badge collectors are in a bigger minefield with plastic mines, that are not easy to detect!
