"I think" I like it, I have never noticed a crossguard with that little detail but I am "pretty sure" it is actually an original WPP dagger. I am curious about the rings on the scabbard, why are they a different metal or color?

To me, this is almost completely textbook for a late produced Alcoso WPP dagger. I agree with Bob about the crossguard inasmuch as I've never observed that particular feature either except to say all else looks correct, the grip, grip wire and grip emblem which often are problematic.
What does give me a little pause is the silvered portion of the scabbard bands. These should be brass along with the rest of the scabbard body.
Actually now that I look at it again, aside from the difference in metal, the scabbard bands do not look to be Alcoso products. Very strange to have this anomaly and the other stuff seems right.
I agree with Billy and am still "pretty sure" it is original or at least the grip is. But....if you are looking to buy it I would not want to pay retail. You really don't want to have to answer questions when you go to sell it someday.
