    Sword Heer with eagle’s head looks left

    Hello,
    I have this nice sword
    But, eagle’s head looks left.
    This sword is good 2ww périod ??
    Factory is Eichkorn

      Calm down, everything´s good ;-))

      What you´ve got is a very early Wrangel (with the early Logo I asume), which head turned to the right at that time. Some time later, this had to be changed, and all eagles on edged weapons had their heads turned to the left (when you look at it).

      Yours is seldom seen, congrats!

            You have a very nice early Eickhorn Wrangle like Ostmaerker has stated. I believe the sword is dated before 1935 as that is when they dropped the double oval trade mark and probably around the time they made the new mold having the eagle face the other direction. I also have a set of Wrangles facing each direction and also an early Leopard facing right with the early logo. Congrats on the sword and the hunt now begins on the next one.
