Here is a very simple Heer dagger, not mint by any means but if it could talk I am sure it would tell a story. This dagger has a really nice ivory/white grip, a few dings in the scabbard, a blade that is untouched and void of any markings, and definitely has a lot of tarnish. A simple dagger, a dagger that means the world to me as it has been lying inside my Dad's foot locker since he returned in 1945. Until 1983, I am sure this dagger had been brought out several times over the many years with a story that grew on how it was acquired each time it was retold by my Dad.
Thanks Dad - I will continue to pass this dagger down to my son.
