I posted this in the Tinnies and Political section on a different subject.
But it occurred to me, this may be of interest to the HJ knife collectors out there!
Notice how this kid arranged his knife with his backpack! Maybe this was the standard way of doing it?

I agree its a great period pic, looks like the hj knife has a broken off fingerguard, maybe the hj boy threw it at a tree or two

I agree, the kid must have thrown it into at least one tree!
In Triumph of the Will, you see the HJ group in a circle, all with their knives sunk into the ground, and they do a ritual.
HJ knives sure took a beating!!
