SS Ground Rohm by Eickhorn shows IMO to be a period example.

    Wait for other opinions.

Legit GR SS dagger with the typical SS runes button only seen on Röhm daggers made by Eickhorn.

Was it common to stamp the Roman numerals over the original gau markings? just asking.

What you see are actually a double stamped Roman III.
The first hit wasn't hard enough I guess so the stamped it again a bit harder.

Gau markings were used for SA daggers btw.
Roman numbers were used as 'district'- markings. I, II and III.

It looks like the twin of one I had several years ago, nice dagger!

Just a questioning attitude since I was burned on a parts dagger before. I couldn’t tell if someone actually could stamp over a gau mark. I am very leary of SS daggers. Thanks for clarifying.

Richard, will you post a nice detailled close up from the SS roundel please?

                      Thanks
