Found this Eichorn Army dagger Ivory grip

I’ve been meaning to show this dagger since I got it a few months ago.

I’ve had quite a few army daggers but this is my first ivory grip.

Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think.

    Better pictures tomorrow.

          Thanks Bob.

I heard that the Germans never made an Ivory handle.

Can anyone shed some light on that?

This dagger and the demilled butcher came from the estate of a WWII veteran and vehicle driver in the 3rd Army.

Those are his photos, military driving license, booklets etc.

Many of the photos are of Metz .

They made them. Ivory grips were a special order option and not often seen on plane blade issue daggers, but more commonly found on etched blade versions.

            Nice find.

Is that a Eickhorn ? HA ! just read the title.

              Hi!
They did and you have one, it is original and no need to look further. Oh, actually, yes it is fake but I will reluctantly take it off your hands for a cheap price
              Seriously, nice dagger!

Oh they are even solid proof mentioned in the old price lists. A very beautiful dagger you have there.
