Question on a sawback S98/05 aA

    Hello,

I've been offered a 1907 dated S98/05 aA mS. It is a very nice piece, but it has 29 teeth at one side, and 30 on the other one. I learned that there should aways be 29 teeth on each side. I have a few sawbacks and both have 2 times 29 teeth, they start diffirent, but both 29 pair of teeth. Does anyone know if this sometimes happened, or is it simply not correct?

    Thank you.
    Jeremy

      Hi Jeremy
The number of teeth may vary between 57,58 and 59. Depends of the maker and the pattern.
