... or reenactment fantasy... Some 6000 military Citroen type 23's were captured by the Wehrmacht in 1940 and they continued production during the war. After the war this body type remained in production until 1953. The original French military type had longer sills with storage boxes, so this one is not an original captured French army one so this one was either produced during or after the war. They were originally fitted out with a standard flatbed. Although in theory the Wehrmacht could have converted the type into a radio car, I doubt that this is an original survivor. I have never found an period photograph of the type in use as a radio car...
