German batteries

This is going to be long topic and include all the different German batteries.

For the start, here's Tanax Nr. 330, end of that page.

It consists of three D size cells, side by side and from that you can guess the battery size.

Those guesses matches the measures i have so far:

On the first link there is stated that it's Enigma battery, but i doubt it.

On the cryptomuseum page there is written that Naval Enigma used another Battery type ( Nr. 660)

So to resolve the mystery, can anyone give me the exact measures of the ordinary Enigma battery? Thanks.

ps. Enigma batteries on the Cryptomuseum page and Tanax Nr 330 have different lead styles. So far i have seen Tanax Nr 330 used only with kastenlampen.

Thanks to me6_130 link the Enigma battery dimensions are 101 x 70 x 75 mm.

So the Nr 330 battery has only half of the thinness of the original Enigma battery.
Unfortunately i don't have the naval Enigma battery measures...

Well here's the 4.5v German battery I bougtht in a torch. It hasn't arrived yet but soon. Dimensions are about 7x7.5x10cm. It is the model used for Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe Enigma coder machine, I believe. Pics are seller's.

Tanax made also ordinary flat 4.5 volt flashlight batteries, their number was 148.

The alkaline batteries there are 2 technologies : Nickel cadmium and Iron Nickel

the Edison company using technology 2 nd (output voltage is the same 1,2v)

Seems like 2,4 NC 7 battery was used on the board of different plane : Do 217, He 177 etc, inside the Waffenzündbatteriekasten WZBK 1A for MG 131.
