    10W.S.c "EK" designation

Just found a late-war 10W.S.c on German Ebay, with "EK" letters on the dataplate instead of the year. Any ideas what this could mean?

    Hello Yuri,

I got this 10 WSc for some years. Never found or got a solid explanation.

Best fit was "Endes Krieg" , end of war.

    Cheers

I suspect the one on Ebay is a post-war refurbished example, the transmitter itself is an example from around 1942 while the casing is 1945-ish. The "EK" may be the initials for the company that did the refurbishment rather than a date code. The Fu5 was used after the war in Germany by police and emergency services while sets were also refurbished in other counttries like Denmark.

      regards,
