    Leonard umformer for Kurssteuerung

    Hello,

I have the standard Leonard umformer for Kurssteuerung.
It is unfortunately missing all the condensators and associated cabling in the base of the umformer.

Anyone can provide a picture / schema of components and their values ?

    Thanks a lot.

Give me some time, I will have to open one up. Is the connector still there?

    regards,

      Hello FS,

Thanks. Take your time, no hurry.
The connector was not present either, but I got a spare one.

      Cheers

Unfortunately the only example I have "handy" (the rest are built into various models) has been rebuild with the capacitors replaced. It has worked in one of my autopilots for many years so it must have been done correctly. The Ward-Leonard system is basically a DC system, so the capacitors are used to filter any unwanted HF signal from the rotating transformer. Each in and output has a large feedthrough capacitor to earth (1000 uF, 400V) one end connected to the socket. The 24V supply and the output winding also have a 1 uF block capacitor between + and - (the block capacitors screwed in place by the two screwholes on each side).

        Hope this helps.

        regards,

        Funksammler

          Thanks FS.
I'll see what I have in my spares.

          Cheers
