Very interesting and rare receiver.
I was part of the VHF rotating adcock "Burg" installation covering 15-61 Mhz (Like the Horst D receiver on which it was based). The receiver was built into a frame which rotated with the antenna. This whole contraption was placed in a small hut or trailer. The H-adcock antenna was placed on the roof of the hut. Operating the receiver in the confines of the small hut (which also contained a table with a Torn.E.b as search receiver) must have been pretty tricky. There was also a version for 60-150 Mhz using a Fu.P.E.e (based on the Horst E receiver).
The installations were jokingly named "SFK" and "LFK" (Schweres/Leichtes Feld-Klosett) which translates to Heavy/Light field Toilet due to the shape of the huts.
The performance of these direction finding installations was disappointing, so they were not built in series. So the receiver shown is a very rare surviving prototype.
regards,
Funksammler
