    Indeed the Germans trialled linking a number of systems to their autopilots. The article mentions the coupling of the RDF direction finder to allow an aircraft to automatically circle a beacon, a coupling to the FuBl2 Blind landing installation to allow the aircraft to automatically align itself with the landing beam and the coupling to the FuG101 radar altimeter to automatically manage the glide patch.

    They also developed systems to automatically fly along the radio beam in the Y-kampf Verfahren.
