Nice set, you seem to have have the missing parts from the Fernbesprechung stored in the battery box....

For the W.R.1 another link: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=w.r.1

                        Very nice set! Wonderfull.

The single earpiece with small two prong plug, the double leather headband and the metal chest mikrophone are not belonging to radio's but to the FF33 fieldphone. (I'm looking for these pieces for ages to complete my leather bag for the chest mikrophone :S )
(sorry didn't saw the other thread, very nice pieces!!)

                        best regards Sven

WR1/P (MAR) is a Kriegsmarine version of WR1

                            hello
it's missing the 11 meter antenna wire , seems me the morse key will
not slide into the place it must , no antenna base , no hv or 2B38 battery
something strange , normaly the spare valves are store in the back of the
upper drawer , seems somebody modify it or make a copy
for the rest a nice set seldom seen complete like this
                            pierre

I think the spares drawer is ok, it is just fitted the wrong way around.

Even hough the telephone headsets would not have been issued with the set, the presence of these headsets could be historical correct. The Torn.fu.f could be linked to a forward observation post with a set of FF33's. Whereas the maximum distance for using the Fbg.bf was 100 meters, with FF33's the observation post could be placed considerably further away from the radio set. The "hands free" set would allow the observer to stay concentrated on his optics. Also the "hands free" microphone set was often used to relay fire commands from the fire control post to the individual guns in the battery, so it could have been of use at both ends of the radio link. It seems the radio crew just packed the telephone stuff with the radio at the end of the war and left them there....

Apart from the few items listed by Tornfuté, your set is remarkably complete. It should be possible to find the antenna base, correct morse key and recreate the cable antenna to make this a very complete set. 2B38 batteries can also be found from time to time; original anode batteries will be difficult, but some nice replicas will look just as good. To make it 100% you would also need to find two sets of carrying straps and two back pads for the boxes. I am pretty sure these things can still be found, especially in Norway!

                              regards,

                              Funksammler
