    Rust

As we can see, kobieras1939's 10W.S.c is quite a rusty. What would be
the best methodology to stop the rusting process and remove the rust?
    Please share the experience. Thanks.

    Hello,
I use rust-remover. It works really good on aluminium. However you have to be careful with zinc. I have just applied it repetitively and if it seems to be OK I sponge it by water. I use only rust-remover that indludes orthophosphoric acid.

    best regards

I'm not able to edit previous post. I have meant rust-remover based on phosphoric acid...

Can you link the specific product - then it would be perfectly clear for anyone and also result would be repeatable.

          Hello,
          I use this one:
          http://www.movychem.eu/protection-la...ust-remover-11

However the specific product depends on the country.

          best regards

            Could you use WD-40?

I'm not so sure that it is a good solution,.. It is penetrating oil.

              best regards

                hello
for such rust , i will use a dremel machine with a small iron or inox
brush it will clean it,then grease or oïl , as it's not seen outside
i think it's easier and simple way

I agree, some light brushing and a treatment with oil will protect the steel for many years to come. If I need to protect paintwork, I tend to leave the rust, only treating it with some oil. I rarely use rust-remover on radio equipment (just on car parts!).

Any experience with the stuff from the kitchen - vinegar etc?

Vinegar is great to remove rust, but if pitted, the item might look like a Gruyere cheese. You clean with warm water and soap, brushing a bit, dry and oil or paint.
