1941 Neptune FG cabel tree hook?

Hi, i found this hook between German trenches, i think it has something to do with communication lines, it can be strapped against a tree, the spikes/ tooths, prevent slipping down, made in 1941 by Neptune, can't find anything about it, and never saw something similiair, al help welcome!

Definitely something to do with comm., the FG is Felnten& Guilleaume (K öln, Mülhein a/Mein).
If i have to guess, something related to the extra heavy field cable.

Thx for the replies, never seen this item before, if it was widely used during ww2, lots more would have been found, but this is not the case, never the less a Interesting piece of history.
