FF33 and cables question

Hi all! Im trying to find the data byt everywhere i look says different. On how much voldtge does it work? And which connector in the battery compartment is + and which one - ?

Also, heard that the standard cables contain asbestos? Is it true? The ones outside and the ones for connection of the FF33 with another equipment.

You need a 1,5 Volt battery, polarity is not important. You can read it all in the free book (search this forum and you will find it).

I have never heard of asbestos used in cables. Asbestos is generally used as a heat insulator which is not relevant to telephone equipment.

Asbestos was used on hot water pipes to retain heat. Don't scare me.

Good then, because my cables are damaged. Guess only the fixed cables in centrals or so were made with that thing.

I remember that I´ve read sometime in the internet that also vintage wold war gasmask filters could have asbestos as part of its composition. Avoid several poisonous chemicals but... be awared for your lungs...

Healthy practices as to see how an atomic bomb explodes in a desert several kilometres from you with sungoogles...

German gas masks usually do have asbestos in the filters, but it's almost in the middle. So unless you go and open the filter you wont be in contact with it. Thats why i avoid bad and rusted filters.
