Kriegsmarine radios have fixed VHF channels

    Hello

Kriegsmarine radios have fixed channels with numbers from 1 to 18.
Have you frequencies of these channels?
Radios Lo1uk35 and Lo10uk39 is most used.
They have the same frequency range as Fug16 and Fug17.
Had they communication with aircraft from ships with these radios?
In which type of ships were these radios used?
Want as much information about using these radios.

The channels can be calculated from:

    18 channels, channel 1 = 37,525 MHz with channel distance alternating between 200 and 800 kHz until channel 18 = 45.725 Mhz

The KM sets were primarily designed for ship to ship (or ship to shore in case of the portable sets). There is indeed an overlap with the FuG16 adn Fug17 so in principle they could communicate with aircraft over VHF but I suspect there were few tactical requirements for this. It would require close liaison between KM and LW to organise communications which I suspect did not happen too often! I suspect the peculiar spacing of the KM channels was actually designed to minimise interference with the LW sets.

The Lo10UK39 and the Lo1UK35 sets were used on anything from E-boats, U-boats, to the larger vessels.

    regards,
