    FU30a and FU82

Just for your review, here are my latest FU Boxes that came in my collection this week.
I was very happy about this two sets, also if there are two lamps missing...

They just came out of a farmers barn.

If you are interestet, I can take some better pics on the weekens now.

Does anyone have a manual how I can get the FU30a get to work? Which type ob batteries where attached in the cables?

Thank you very much in advance!

    kind regards,

    Stefan

    Nice!

I would love to put some good pictures of the Fu82 in the "Transportkasten FU" document. I should have the instruction booklet with my Fu30a, need to look....

    regards,

    Remco

Thank you, that FU82 is interesting... Can you show those flexible lamp arms more closely, all the joints and ends.

Tomorrow I will clean it a bit and then I will take a few good and detailed pictures of the set.

Is there any period photos showing how these tent lamps were used?

                        OK! That's it!

I hope that the picture quality is good enough!

If not or if you need / want some more detailed pictures, please let me know!

@Funksammler: As I wrote, please feel free to use my pictures for your document!

@Val: Yes. I think I have a picture showing my grandfather in an KFZ17 and they have installed one of this lamps additional to the added lamps.
I will take a look for you!

                        kind regards,

                        Stefan

Thanks, super good photos - waiting was worth of it. I still have one question - there's two to type of flexible lamp arms - one, shorter has thumb screw that is obviously connected to some kind of holder - table maybe... However i don't understand the other end - there's ball joint and then in the end there looks like thread? Is that connected directly to the lamp or to the other flexible arm? The other, bigger arm doesn't seems to have anything where that thread could "mate". The bigger arm has also ball joint, flat thing and disk without thread. What's the purpose of that flat thing and disk?

Thanks for posting the pictures, great to see the details!

The short arms fit directly to the radio, I will take a picture when I get back home. The Kfz 17 used the same lamps with the short arms, but stored in a smaller box (Zbg 12 N) with three lamps and three short arms.

There is a small cutout in the clamp the short arm which allows access to the antenna trimmer on the Torn.E.b when it is fitted to the radio.

the clamps on the long arms are designed to fit on tent poles (after all it is called a ZeltbeleuchtungsgerÀt, lighting set for tents).

The lamps units have a nut on the top which screws directly onto the thread on the holding arms to connect the two together.

                            regards,

                            Funksammler

Clear! I assumed that the round clamp of the longer arm goes around lamp frame (which is naturally also round) and couldn't place where the disk goes - didn't see the threads on that disk.
