Foldable handset with leather pouch

Hi Guys.

I have the foldable handset with leather pouch, it looks german but then again it does not. Could it be something the germans have taken in some of the occupied contries?

I could need a little help here

Maybe East German???

I have taken it down, so you can see the inside, maybe it can help with the ID.

Speaker is stamped 1940 and the microphone is made of baketite.
