    Fug 23 (v1)

    Hello

The fug23 is a transmitter for tracking the trajectory of the V1

It was followed by DF: or was such centres?

in this document you have two pics for transmitter and a map with (rdf) ? http://www.fortlitroz.ch/index.php?page=v37 sorry it is French

What was the type of receiver used Goniometric : fu peil a70 ? and plotting table

a detail of the antenna used by the v1 :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XiRk...endscreen&NR=1

In the Trenkle f book it is mentioned that a trajectory by radio correction had been studied, this is still only a prototype State?

According to Trenkle they used three Adcock direction finders, but he does not mention the type. The Fug 23 a...e worked from 350 to 500 kHz on longwave, so it could have been EP 3 or Fu.P.E.a. Interestingly Trenkle also mentioned that the RF signal was somewhat modulated by the vibrations of the engine during flight, which stopped during the final dive so they could tell from the signal when the V1 was approaching it's target.

The restored V1 of the Tosny museum near Les Andelys on the Seine has a FuG23 installed and has some photographs on the website: http://museellgmdetosny.free.fr/uk/secret_weapon.htm

Here you can find the schematic of the FuG 23: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._Schaltung.jpg

The transmitter was tuned by cutting the connections to some of the capacitors C3..C13!

      Many thank for this information

      At this url : http://www.fortlitroz.ch/index.php?page=v38

you have some informations in French about the radio-control for trajectory correction, but it was not operational
