Hi all
Just got this mine detector in the original crate. It was well packed & no damage at all to the the package or the detector itself, but the internals of the case were not so lucky. It looks like the wood is very dry & all the glue has also dried out. At some point I suspect UPS have dropped the box & caused the detector to violently move forward smashing all the dividers. I can't really blame the shipper as I think I could have seen my self thinking the same thing; this is the case designed to transport this gear..... Anyway, a lesson learnt. Even if it is the correct crate, PACK EVERYTHING firmly so there can be no movement. Fortunately this looks like it can be repaired & the seller did give me a rebate on this without question. I thank them for that.
I'm still looking for the search coil if anyone has or knows of one.
Best,..rob
