Just found a little problem... a connection is broken. Easy to repair but I'll have it tested, to check the capacitors.

I know what you might be thinking...-What a greedy guy- but it isn't really my fault...I just saw it there and no one seemed to want it, so I had to buy it
Five years looking for one and in less than a month I get two!!!! Another Unformer for panzer 10Ws. This one is dated 1942, also produced by AEG, Berlin.

The U10 a.1 in posts 14 to 16 is dated 1944, and the one posted in 17 is dated 1942. You can see a better finish in this second one, it looks cleaner. They are 4000 away in S/N from 1942 to 1944. I'll soon have to decide which to keep and which is leaving...

Here a comparative pic: left 1942, right 1944. They are both in very good condition but the 1942 one has a nicer finish quality.

A very serviceable technology. Change the brushes when they wear out. Lubricate the ball bearings on both sides of the motor. Maybe replace capacitors every 50 years. You have a power supply that will last for 100s of years.

Yep, well made things might last forever if well mantained. See pics of an original brushes' spare box, sold at Ebay a couple of years ago (I think).

I've now got the 2 Ukw.E. e + 2.5 E.U.a4 , 1 10Ws + 2 U.10 a.1, 5 headsets complete + 4 throat micros. Now, I've only got 1 connetion cable from the transformer to the radio, plus 1 inter-radio connector. Still need all the rest

Gentlemen,

After some days I've decided I'll be selling the 1944 U.10 a.1 transformer (at the left in the pic). I haven't had them tested because the guy that was going to revise them is on hollidays, so I have decied to keep the one that looked nicer and sell the spare. It's going up to E-stand FYI:

....Because somebody modified the connections after the war to connect wires. Originally the two pins make contact in the socket of the mounting frame.

Back to my panzer set. Long time without posting her. Now, I have managed to buy a nice set of original spare brushes and cleaning tools for my panzer transformers, just as that one at post # 24. Hope you like them.

Very nice Carles.

Any idea where in the various Panzers the cleaning kit might have been stowed? Any dimensions? It's hard to get a sense of the size without anything to compare it against.

In the U10b, it is stored inside the umformer box itself.
For the other umformer types, no idea.

Nice box, Carles. I think I still have the one for the U80 somewhere.
