    4,8 NC 5 battery

in Lichtsprechgerät 80 notice , there is cleary show the battery 4,8 nc5
for old set using the 4,8 volts bulb , it's stow in the lower
battery box right side , does anybody know if battery is hold just by a strap
( as there is place for one in box ) or if the battery is hold in a metal case ?
i own one , if not used with lichtsprechgerät , with which one ? enigma bulbs
    are 3.5 v !
Fyske has made a new psu , on other picture the battery box is closed
or the picture is of bad quality .

    Maybe this photograph is clearer:

    <a href="http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv86/Funksammler/?action=view&amp;current=155M-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv86/Funksammler/155M-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

It definately shows a strap to hold down the 4,8NC5 battery. Behind the strap you can also see the 2-pin connecting plug. I don't have a 4,8NC5 but it looks like a half size 4,8NC10 with identical construction and terminals.

    regards,

hello of course this pix is better and confirm what i had thought
that a strap ( clearly on your pix ) fasten the batterie
the 4,8 NC 5 is same construction as 4,8 NC10
but of reduce size , i have seen that for " gebirge jaegers they are
      2 for spares .
so the metal box that hold these battery ( believe code cme )
is for something else normaly enigma battery is 4,5 volts , not so far
from 4,8 v , it can be also used for optic , as cme is an optical code i have
      seen on optic
      thanks for your picture

          I posted one here : http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...0&postcount=34

This looks to be a variant, the battery terminals are missing....

Thanks, Funksammler, i'd also like to see the Tornfuté battery.

            For comparison - NC 10

Too bad - NC10 images are already gone
If someone from this forum bought this battery or copied the images - share the images here. Thanks.
