    Large Wehrmacht clock??

Hi I wonder if anyone recognises this clock at all and whether it is WW2 era?

Any idea what the M under the eagle signifies?

My friend has come across it in a house clearance.

    Many thanks for looking

      Hi Jay
The M is for Marine (Kriegsmarine)

Looks good IMO but donĀ“t know if it was on a ship or a mess hall or????

      Cheers
      Lars

        Thank you Lars!

After a bit of digging around I believe its a Kreigsmarine Wardroom clock.

Anyone know how much these sell for or where you'd sell a rather specialist item like this at all please?

        Many thanks

        Jay

            Hi mate,

I don't know at the minute.

My friend took these photos on his phone and sent them to me because he knew I like German WW2 bits!

He's going back to the house on Friday so I'll be able to find out more then!

Jay, i think he means the flat brass hanging plate at the top of the clock at the back, which you can only see a little of from the front at the top.I think its because the wooden surround of the clock is a bit thick and the picture was taken from the front with the camera looking up at the clock slightly and so not being able to get the hanging plate in the picture.imo
How much does your friend want for the clock mate.
