    Kriegsmarine reciever

Hi All, I'm putting together a living history display for my talk on "U-Boats in the Gulf". Where would you reccomend looking for a piece of U Boat communications gear, or a good "idea" to show people what they may have had on board...thanks in advance, Mike

Sometimes search is tricky, but not this time.

The link is great, but again, I need info/advice on where to purchase one, if possible.

I missed to buy Naxos device few months ago on eBay. It went cheap, for 400 eur.

But it finished while I wasn't home.

Other than that, you may find Radione radio receiver, R2 or R3, usually now or then there is one on eBay, just keep an eye there.

Don't worry, this is a "Kleinoszillograph" or "small oscilloscope". Nothing to do with Naxos. Probably made just after the war from scrapped FuG 102a receivers....

                regards,

But it looks pretty much the same, isn't it?

Maybe they converted Naxos units into oscyloscopes after the war?

Nevermind, my Radione R2 is just being serviced to put it back to life, and I'll enjoy it soon.

If anything from U-boats come, I'll take the chance, but if not, it's OK again ;-)

The Naxos indicator looks quite different:

Just another ebay scam, hiking the price by misselling it as something else....

                    regards,

Hi, thanks for the explanation. I thosught about this device (can't read the explanation plate above, unfortunately). It's the one in U-995 in Laboe.
I'd like your help on this, as it seems you're the best source of these informations:

They obviously could not find an original Naxos "Sichtgereat" for their restoration of the U995 radioroom, so they used a "Kleinozsillograph" instead!

The Hagenuk and Lo1UK35 are also not quite right....

                        regards,

Oh, that's the case, you say ?

Now the fog is away in front of my eyes.
I thought it's all original inside.

Thank you my friend, that's really valuable info. I was after that device on eBay just because I saw it inside U-995, so in fact now you spare me of possible expense if anything else comes to light in the future.

                          Thanks again.

Remco, could it not be a Wellenanzeiger ?

The Wellenanzeiger is the larger unit mounted over the Samos receiver:
