Here is my strap. Both come from different places, longer one from a friend here in Finland, shorter, little bit worse condition, one with boxed waa, from Ebay.de.

Sorry jackboot for mixing the two straps up, your KO 33a is definitely an export item. I was a bit thrown by the late appearance of the maker's logo on your other strap, by this time the three letter manufacturer's code was more commonly used on Wehrmacht equipment (but certainly not universally applied).

Ville showed a nice examples of an ink stamped Wa code, I guess these stamps usually do not survive long when the strap is used, so many used straps come without or with only traces of the ink stamps.

Here is another example with an embossed Wa stamp:

          <a href="http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv86/Funksammler/?action=view&amp;current=DSC03403.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv86/Funksammler/DSC03403.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

          <a href="http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv86/Funksammler/?action=view&amp;current=DSC03404.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv86/Funksammler/DSC03404.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Now original webbing straps, that is something that I would like to see.....

          regards,

Ah, and I suppose straps delivered directly to the Luftwaffe would not get Waffenamt stamps either.

By the way, R B & Co stands for Richard Bosse & Co, a Berlin manufacturer.

            regards,

Unfortunately some of the uploaded Photos has now gone, as I recall there were stampings, but I have seen other web straps, also a 1944 dated R B Co:

I have seen one other strap in this Luftwaffe grey colour, it is interesting that this one appears with a BAL stamped field telephone, also linking it to Luftwaffe use.

                regards,

                  Field Strap

Thanks to all on the information. I learn so much from you gentlemen. I have a friend who I hope to see this weekend that has a Type 33 phone with a Wah marked strap if I remember correctly. I will take photo of his and post it here. Thanks again.
