I'm doing some research on this device for our museum, what kind of batteries did it charge, and who used it?

I have same type of Ladegleichrichter, but there are unfortunately missing front cover and electric plug /220 V/. Does anybody here have some photos of these parts ? On forum I have found only this topic...
