    Field radio Feldfu. b1

I got this radio in a trade deal and am going to offer it for sale. I wanted to start a discussion thread here because I don't know anything about these and I want a potential buyer to be aware of any issues and to be able to see exactly what is being offered. I am going to let the pictures do most of the talking here. Any comments on this item would be appreciated.

The radio is missing the cover from one side and shows some wear. The outside has an old-looking camouflage paint spray, no idea if it is wartime paint or not. The metal fittings, on the outside, show some surface corrosion.

I am not sure if the Y-strap attachment fittings are original. The web carry strap is frayed but not broken. The antenna fitting has what looks like old glue.

There are accessories inside, and an instruction plate inside the cover.

There is a cut connection inside what must have been the battery box. The accessories fit inside the radio.

The item in the first photo is something I am not familiar with, it is marked with a 3-letter code. The handset is in overall sound condition with some wear and plug prongs showing traces of soldier, one is bent.

Close up of the microphone and plug. The headset is marked with WaA stamps.

The wire on the headset has been cut and tape has been used to attach a modern type wire with a plug like for a transistor radio, apparently to allow the headset to be used with a modern radio. The panel has a removeable fitting as shown.

The radio appears to have been made in 1944. It is clean inside. I have some more pictures of the inside I will post after dinner.

The wiring and electronics appear to be in good condition here.

That is all I have for now. I can post more photos if needed. I welcome any thoughts or comments on this item and would appreciate any issues pointed out that a potential buyer should be aware of. This is out of my collection area and so I am posting this before listing it for sale, to avoid problems.

                            Chris,

A well used but still nice feldfu !
The black box with turning knob seems a remote controll device from a range finder.

                            Regards,
                            Kris
