    Reproduction DKE 38 Radio

I have recieved my emails about my Reproduction German Kleinempfaenger DKE 38 Radio so I will post as many pictures as I can:

    Reproduction DKE 38B Militär

I used an old computer speaker with a port to hook up an ipod or CD player.
I hope this information helps! Good Luck If You Decide To Take This Mission!

P.S. My next project is to build the Folding Field Radio Table (with folding canvas stools).
Would anybody know the dimensions of the table top and leg assembly?

I was kind of wondering the same, why spend so much effort when you can pick up an original housing for a few euro....

I tried to photograph the instructions in the lid, but it did not work very well with flash:

I will try again when we have some sunny days....

I am a woodworker and reenactor so I enjoy building reproductions of various equipment and radios. The biggest challenge is the fact I only have 2 or 3 original pieces on hand. Therefore I have to search for dimensions and photographs to scale from to build the other items (such as the radios). It is websites like these where collectors such as yourselves post photographs and information of your collections which has been invaluable over the years, and for that I would like to say thank you to you.

As for purchasing an original housing perhaps you could direct me to some European merchants. I live in the United States and am not keen on trolling ebay.

I think Ebay is your best chance. I do not know any specialist dealers but there are probably still plenty of old folks with DKE's in their attic in Germany, they were build in their millions...

                            regards,

what size of original DKE-38? height, width, etc.
                              Thanks.
