Wooden box for Torn E.b

I have a wooden box labeled with Torn E.b tag. Can you help me to identify what exactly was it for ? Spare parts ? Other accessories ? Your ideas will be appreciated

The box does not seem to be German military material. Somebody just seems to have attached a Torn.E.b plate to a box. Perhaps he kept other Torn.E.b parts in it...
