Fernschreibanschlussgerät ?

Hi there,
found one of these, can anybody tell me how they were used, and maybe show a picture of it in use? Not much to find on the net about it.

It does was it says on the tin: "Fernschreibanschlussgereat" literally means teleprinter connection unit". It acts as a power supply and modem for a teleprinter.

Interesting, the fieldpost number on it corresponds to a 'Fliegerhorst kommandatur'.

What I have is D 764/5 "Merkblatt Fernschreib Anschlussgeraet", this is just an operating manual and contains no schematics or components list. I will make a scan on a rainy day somewhere next week....
