You are right about the headset. It's a Frankenstein put-together. The headband was taken off a Pz. Headset modified by the French post war and the units embedded in the rubber pads are not for Dfh.b Panzer sets. I don't like the looks of the throat mike plug from the photo. As it is a 2-prong plug instead of 3 prongs, the tin tag clamped onto the cord cose to the plug should say kmf a, not kmf b.

Nick thanks by your answer. You have reason is a Frankestein. The cord appears to me as a post-war french modification. Also I'm not able to read any known brand in the headphones (Saba, Telefunken, or other knows logos). One of they have an eagle(WAa?). I had not realized that the plug of the mike have only two prongs. It must have three for a Kmf.b. The switchbox appear good.
Thanks you, I have saved a good lot of money 650€

I couldn't tell from the photo whether the cord had the black patterns of the French modification, but the screws on the headband have flat heads of the French mods and the rubber pads are not pressed together as the German ones should. 650 is way too much, too.

Jepp - you can get untouched sets for a bit more than half of this

Throat mikrofons can be 2 prong. The mic is always live when plugged in to the intercom. The driver doesn't have a spare hand to key the mic so they made 2 prong mikrofon.

I am not sure if that style is marked differently.

hello i am also of mind it's somebody who rebuiled this headset , the 2 prong plug with + - is czech , and i believe the cable too . an original headset has always a small part of leather , to hold the cable near the headset receiver
and inside a needle is screw and pass through the cable , like this you can't push the cable out of the receiver .on other headphones you have a spring
and a small part of bakelite to secure the cable .

The 2-prong mikes are marked kmf a, the 3-prongs would be marked kmf b or c.
