Being better educated by Funksammler's book, I just bought a 1937-dated field phone without the green stripe. Also the microphone and speaker lack the green markings.

Please show close pictures of the microphone and speaker. Merry christmas!

The microphone is after war made: January 1962. Never seen such connector: my guess is someone shaved off the year numbers.

The oldest I have is a phone with Siemens 1935,
phone casing has already 'green belt'.

I have the microphone in 1937 but is already with a cross.
indeed there is a microphone after the war. [62]
germany often removed the sign, in my collection I have a phone, even without the alphabet

That microphone looks indeed too modern, especially that plastic isolation ring at the bottom. So far i only seen one microphone without the green cross.

I still haven't found the exact date of the introduction of the green stripe model, but it is probably very early in the production run. One of the problems is that cases and internals often get mixed up, so de date of the case can be different from that of the date stamped on the internals. In some cases the green stripe (and alphabet) can wear off, giving the impression of a no-stripe. The schematic on the inside is the best indicator to identify a no-stripe phone.

It looks like this particular phone has seen service until long after the war. Some of the "offending" symbols were removed, and the 62 date microphone attests to its longevity.

Does anybody recognise the SFI factory mark?

                                regards,

                                Funksammler
