Ta P MORSE Key value?

Hi guys I have just bought a german pilots helmet and had to buy this morse key with it and as morsekeys are not my thing I wanted to put it on the e-stand.It is in really nice state, clean with no corrosion and no perishing on the rubber cable,The inside metal frame is stamped BAL in a purplish ink which I think refers to the Luftwaffe.So if anyone can help fire away all comments appreciated .Regards Roger

one sees these morse keys with and without the Ta.P designation.
What's the meaning of Ta.P and in what do they differentiate towards the keys without the Ta.P lettering?
