Name that box!

I've had this box kicking around for a couple of years now - I forgot about it until this afternoon! Anyone have any details as to the contents? I have come across it in a copy of a manual, but the reproduction is too poor to make out any details.
Dimensions are 325mm x 250mm x 100mm.

I also have 2 or 3 of the small reels spare as well.

The manual in question is, I believe, an H.Dv for a telephone company if that helps!
