In summary:
1) They would note the radio traffic (excluding the message) down in the "Betreibsbuch" station log. They would indicate with the word "Gruppen" where the message was received and note down the message number in the right column of the log. The traffic would largy consist of traffic codes, such as Q-codes etc.
2) They would take down the message (excluding traffic codes etc.) down on a message form. The message number would correspondent to the number noted down in the station log. At this stage the message would be in cypher.
3) They would list the message number in the red "Abfertigerheft". The information in the message log (Date, time, received from, etc.) would correspondent with the information in the header of the message form.
