5 pins cable with bakelit box

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what is the use of this 5 pins cable with a bakelite box at one end ?
I guess it is for a Torn. Fu. accessories case, but not sure.

Probably a power connection point in a vehicle. The vehicle's power would be hooked up through the other side.

It could also be a splice point for lengthening a cable.
