Hi,

I was this weekend visiting a good friend and he showed me a German Telephone that I never seen before..... It is not a Fielddtelephone..
I would like some information about this telephone.... Comments are also welcome
But IMO I think it is a rare bird.

The telephone is fully working and is fully numbermatched, great piece...

On the lid is only one plate with the text:

OB Fernsprecher 43 für Ortfesten betrieb

It is made in 1944

I have two of these. I call them "Volkssturm" phones. It's the model 43 field phone that is an economical late-war design and is very simple. These are rare phones. On the lid the writing states "Field Telephone 43 / for area-fortress use". My phones are slightly different than your friend's phone.
